These wooden rods are of 1cm square cross-section and are in ten different colours, each of a different unit length.
They can therefore represent in a concrete way the whole number bonds and their relationships and for a simple demonstration of addition and subtraction.
The set of 74 rods comes with two plastic trays with a leaflet offering a few suggestions for classroom use with groups of 2-3 students.
