Make Them Independent provides an alternative way to get students revising and practising what they need for GCSE – in a format that can be used in a classroom or probably even better, in leading revision sessions at home.

You could choose to use them to reinforce and to improve fluency throughout the year – or in intensive revision sessions in the run up to examinations. 

Each A4-size activity sheet provides questions, but comes with “wings” with answers and hints. There are 28 such sheets in the book – 14 on Number topics and 14 on Algebra topics. 

Designed with busy teachers in mind, the activities are ready-to-go. Students simply fold back the answers and hints and get going – looking at the hints if they are stuck and the answers at the end. Colour will print well in black and white. The hints are the perfect way to trigger deeper revision – so in a self-marking activity, students can refresh their memory on a topic if they come unstuck on a question. Accordingly, we would encourage them to use these sheets with their books and textbooks and work out the right answer rather than simply test themselves against the answers.
